A woman suffering from bipolar disorder is seriously committed to the idea of not getting involved in any romantic relationship, being aware of the potential distress that usually comes along love liaisons. Things start suddenly to change when she falls in love with a workmate.

María works as a lifeguard in the swimming pool of a sports center where time goes by without much excitement. The cleaning lady, the paramedic, the trainer and the swimmers who frequent the pool are the main characters of this touching story concerning the human condition and such poignant and contemporary feelings of disenchantment, sorrow, regret and the crucial need of feeling alive.
